Americans for Safe Access

Also Known as the ASA The Americans for Safe Access has recently created a new program that everyone must know about. Americans for Safe Access is a member-based organization of patients, medical professionals, scientists and concerned citizens promoting safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic use and research.

We have come along way but our system, laws and our rights are far from perfect and with raids still happening, what’s a medical cannabis provider to do? Thankfully, Americans For Safe Access (ASA) has launched a “Raid Response” campaign to help protect our MMJ community’s rights. When a raid is in progress and reported to ASA, here’s a taste of how things are supposed to go down

Step 1 As illustrated above ... ASA staff checks its database to find information about the provider or dispensary being raided.

Step 2 is illustrated to our right as the ASA seeks to confirm the raid by calling the dispensary contacts it has on file. Communicating directly with the dispensary. This gives the ASA the opportunity to acquire the accurate information prior to sending out Text Alerts to the MMJ community.

Step 3 .... Attorneys for the medical cannabis provider and the local media are both contacted. A text alert is sent to the community.

Finally Step 4 ......Local activists are convened, a press release is issued, victims and patients are supported.
